Afermex delivers Web-services
based applications to improve data integration for warehouse managers.
By employing cutting edge technology and delivery of value-added software
solutions, Afermex will redefine the management of public warehousing.
Our Convictions and Why We Exist
We believe
that substantial revenues can be captured from the WMS and BPM software
markets because:
Warehouse
managers constantly strive for space optimization within their managed
facilities. Optimization translates to cost efficiency. Afermex
can deliver a warehouse management software application that enables
warehouse managers to manage pooled inventories of multiple tenants/vendors.
This allows managers to store goods based on functional requirements
(dimensions, perishability, etc.) as opposed to traditional territory
or zone constraints imposed by tenants. This application will change
the mindset of public warehousing from a static storage environment
to an efficient, higher throughput operation.
Our
Web-native WMS application is superior to platform-dependent WMS offerings.
Web Native applications are interface independent, accessible from anywhere,
can communicate over the Internet, and are compatible with most existing
business process management (BPM) software.
The WMS is the most important BPM software module within a company’s
IT infrastructure. Companies are recognizing the benefits of
managing the external supply chain, and the WMS is the critical link
to do so. Of all BPM modules, the WMS has the greatest external focus
for the company. It can involve managing vendor inventories for 3rd
party logistics providers, replenishment of a supplier’s finished
goods or raw materials for OEMs and manufacturer’s, or ensuring
accurate & timely delivery of a customer’s order.
There
are significant resources and dollars invested in integrating existing
BPM software today. Most mature companies are faced with the
dilemma of connecting disparate BPM applications. Last year (2001) U.S.
companies spent $4.8 billion to integrate the $7+ trillion IT infrastructures
that were built during the Internet boom. Companies are left with highly
efficient yet disparate systems to manage internal and external business
functions (i.e. logistics, manufacturing, finance, HR, sales). We believe
our data integration solutions can increase efficiencies for not only
warehouse management, but in a wide array of business processes.
